Red Nose Day is all about having fun while making a difference for children in need. This year we are inviting students across America to make their laughs matter with the JOKE-HA-THON! Kids will tell and sell their best jokes within the classrooms, schools and communities to spread some much-needed joy and raise some life-changing cash.

The incomparable Kate McKinnon lent a hand in launching the Joke-Ha-Thon, to teachers, administrators and the general public through an exclusive on The Today Show and a recruitment video that we bet you can't watch without laughing. Noses On!

On September 6th at New York Fashion Week, Rebecca Minkoff launch the Female Founder Collective, a network of female owned & led businesses. The Collective was founded on the realization that 82% of women are more likely to give their purchasing power to female-founded companies, if they know who they are. Through it's recognizable symbol, the FFC’s mission is to support these businesses, enabling women to make empowered purchase decisions and swiftly close the economic divide.

A keynote panel of female business owners in the fashion industry kicked off the NYFW event and branded merchandise was featured throughout the week, supported by Visa.

In partnership with designer and FFC founder Rebecca Minkoff, we led branding identity and web design for this ground-breaking initiative.

For the next iteration of its Pepsimoji campaign, Pepsi developed a series of five-second TV ads to support their new emoji designed bottles. Over 100 ads ran on TV and online to support the effort. Here are a few of the 5-second ads I developed in partnership with production company QuietMan.

For its second annual event in the states, Red Nose Day set out to create a marketing campaign that would raise brand awareness and communicate the organization’s core mission of helping kids in need through fun and laughter. We developed an integrated, celebrity driven campaign, which we activated across digital and social in the weeks leading up to the event. The creative focused on our key messages of 'Join the FUN-raising' and 'Donate Now', with the main goal of encouraging our target audience to get “Seriously Silly” to help the kids that need it the most.

The campaign was a huge success, delivering over 36+ million impressions and helping to raise over $31 million dollars.

Following the successful first season of Salem, WGN America needed to continue to establish itself as a destination for groundbreaking scripted original series while driving awareness and tune in for season 2.

The campaign focused around the idea of ‘Witch War’ and was brought to life via a multi-channel campaign. In addition, high-impact digital overlays provided video character exposes as well as a channel finder functionality for a deeply engaging experience.

In 2013, we were asked to do something that hadn't been done in the mainstream media for over seventeen years: Launch a major cable TV news network from scratch.

And there were challenges.

The market was already saturated with the news. The brand was a relative unknown. What little awareness they had was negative. And they were a foreign-owned news channel ripe for prejudice and preconceived misconceptions.

But we also knew that American news was a mile wide and an inch deep: Lots of fluff and not a lot of substance. On top of that, research told us there was a large audience hungry for real news and tired of agenda-driven coverage. Viewers who wanted to form their own opinions based on real facts.

Our insight? Perspective changes everything.

Al Jazeera America was the only news outlet delivering real news and the people doing it were unbiased, award-winning journalists and world-class producers. We believed those two simple truths would be enough to shift perspective and win over audiences. Which led us to a concept that spoke to both:

There's More To It.

WNYC has not been immune to the slowly eroding radio listenership that has affected the medium year over year. There are more options for listeners, more sources for local information, and more formats taking attention. There was a need to reinvigorate the WNYC brand to get New Yorkers aware, excited and proud to be a part of the WNYC community.

The objective of the rebrand was to stave off a decline in terrestrial radio listenership and find new non-core audiences for WNYC.

The overall strategy of the campaign was to bring in new, lapsed and fringe listeners to the brand by positioning the WNYC brand as interesting, energetic and authentically NYC.

When eOne Films wanted to create awareness and social chatter for their documentary, Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorf’s, We created a video series that gave fans an exclusive glimpse into the world and characters of Bergdorf’s. The videos were seeded via eOne’s social channels and released as exclusive content with prominent fashion bloggers to reach our intended target of fashion-lovers and celebrity-watchers. Post-launch, the videos were featured as exclusive behind-the-scenes content on the film’s DVD. The campaign succeeded by inserting the film into the pop-cultural conversation when it was featured on the Style Watch section of people.com.

You can never get enough of a good thing, especially when that thing is free. In this campaign, we show the extreme lengths that guys will go to in order to get their Crackle fix. Boring, monotonous activities are much more interesting thanks to Crackle and free movies. The absurdity of this approach creates strong stopping power, and captures the fun, inviting tone of the brand.

To help promote the Millennial coming-of-age movie, Two Night Stand, we developed an integrated digital campaign centered around a Tumblr-style website populated with a ton of digital content including teaser videos, gifs, fan quotes, bad pickup lines and slightly risqué premiere countdowns. Every piece of content was tagged for easy sharing on social.

The Farrell clan lives outside the bounds of the civilized world. Off the grid for over two-hundred years, they are equal parts hillbilly gypsy clan, druid cult and outlaw biker gang. And, like a wild animal that’s been cornered, the harder you push the more menacing and formidable they become.

'You Have No Idea What You’re Dealing With' was the maxim for our campaign, setting the promise and expectation for our audience. And, as we drew them deeper into the backwoods of Shay Mountain, the emotional touch-points of fear and fascination served as our beacon, building intrigue and fueling the desire and need to discover more about this mysterious band of rogues.

With the Outsiders, you may have no idea what you’re dealing with, but you can be certain that a storm is coming and the mayhem will be inescapable.

Loehmann's invented the concept of designer discounts, but after 90 years in business, sales were lagging and its once legendary status had diminished. Our challenge was to make Loehmann's relevant to a whole new generation while standing out from the competition as the trusted source for genuine designer discounts. We embraced the fact that sophisticated women have been shopping there for decades and crafted a new tagline, “Real designers. Really discounted.” This new positioning communicated the brand’s upscale pedigree and curated approach to fashion deals. Our ‘Milestones’ campaign treated a woman’s first shopping experience at Loehmann’s as a rite of passage to prepare for and celebrate. We took a playful approach to give Loehmann’s the young, fun personality it needed to attract a new generation of women.

We were tasked with creating an integrated campaign for the launch of Comedy Central's highly anticipated new series, Workaholics. To shatter the conceptions of the clichéd 'workplace comedy,' we communicated that Workaholics was a hilarious show, worthy of a whole new generation of slackers. We showcased the guys in the most “slacker-appropriate” way possible: the ubiquitous office copy machine.

Neuro is a functional beverage, vitamin-enhanced and supplemented with a variety of health-promoting features, but it’s also a relatively new brand in a very crowded refrigerator case. They didn’t have the money to compete head-to-head with the big guys in broadcast and some of the other higher-profile media, but they still wanted a way to ensure that their drinks made a big splash.

We focused on out-of-home placements that mixed unconventional environmental executions with more ubiquitous conventional outdoor. Each execution used wordplay to highlight one of Neuro’s drinks along with its health benefits , providing a doubly convincing argument in a memorable and cost-effective way.
